This video introduces an approach to solving a statistical problem we call the Problem Solving Approach (PSA). This is advocated by many teaching statistics as the right way to teach and learn the application of statistics as well as being the most natural way of approaching the analysis of any data. The Sign test can be used in place of a paired t-test when your data are either ordinal or the assumption of normality is in doubt.
