STEPS Modules for Windows

The STEPS software takes the form of a number of modules. After installing the Base (see below), you can download and install as many or as few modules as you wish.

The recommended PC specification to run STEPS software is:

  • 80486dx with VGA Monitor
  • 8MB RAM
  • 7MB of disk space for STEPS Base (plus 500Kb to 2.5Mb for each STEPS module installed thereafter)
  • MS-DOS 5.0 or greater
  • Windows 3.1 or greater
The material may work on machines of a lower specification but, in particular, the absence of enough RAM and a maths co-processor may slow down operation considerably.

Important: Before you can install any modules, you must first have the STEPS Base installed.

Once you have installed the Base, you are ready to select the modules you require.
